Kaleidoscope Play & Learn Groups

Kaleidoscope Play & Learn group is a free adult-child play group for families of children 3 months to 5 years old. Activities include singing songs, stories, art, outdoor play, puppet shows, and crafts. Play and Learn™ group meets each Friday at the Person County Partnership for Children office located at 111 South Main Street. The group meet from 10am to 11:30am and is open to parents, guardians, or caregivers to play and learn alongside your child.

Not only are the Play and Learn™ groups fun for the child and caregiver, but they give caregivers an opportunity to interact with your child in a structured environment while working with your child on social-emotional, language, cognitive and motor development.

Children who have never been in a formal childcare setting benefit from Play and Learn™ groups as they have opportunities to learn and practice important social-emotional skills that will help them become successful in school.

During Play and Learn™ groups intentional caregiver learning takes place as the Play Group Facilitator provides caregivers with both written and oral information about child development and appropriate behavior management techniques. The Play Group Facilitator also helps parents support their child with learning new skills, as well as connects caregivers together who have children experiencing similar developmental stages.
